Ephemeral was yesterday, sustainable is tomorrow

This word has taken all its meaning at the wine coop cave du Marmandais. The wine coop has entered for many years quality and traceability in the heart of its company’s strategy. It already has numerous certifications such as ISO 9001 or IFS (the fifth version). Its most well known certification being Agriconfiance NFV01-005 for which the coop will celebrate its 10 years of engagement in 2012. Agriconfiance rewards mainly the qualitative management of farms, traceability and food safety. The totality of the coop surfaces are certified by it.

Green

Following its previous engagements and so as to better face the environmental challenges posed by the current society, the wine coop enrolled itself in the second part of the Agriconfiance certification in 2008, called «green version» which respond to environmental requirements. Today, 20% of the surfaces are certified by it with an objective of 100% in 2015. Furthermore, some producers launched themselves into a conversion toward organic farming. In 2011, 50 hectares will be certified as organic farming.

Sustainable

In order to face the market evolutions and to respond to tomorrow’s requirements, the wine coop sign up for the 3D process: «Destination Developpement durable» (toward sustainable development). This process aim to evaluate the impact of the company’s activities on the economical, environmental and social circle of the society. After being diagnosed in November 2010, the wine coop cave du Marmandais has launched an action plan with the objective of improving its societal performance.
